Register for a Breath of Fresh Air on North Campus

You are invited to join A Breath of Fresh Air, a unique and energizing nature break on Dec. 3. This session will introduce the positive effects of being in nature on your social and emotional well-being.

You will learn how to:

  • Practice mindful attention and appreciation for the natural environment.

  • Refresh your energy and reduce stress by being outside.

  • Use the Nature Rx resources in the Michigan App to find nearby nature spots for taking breaks, restoring, and for mental and physical health.

Sessions include a variety of activities and options to support your nature experience. You will learn how to appreciate nature in all its forms, and this session will be held rain, snow, or shine.

Breath of Fresh Air Details

  • How: Complete this registration form for the December 3rd session.

  • When: Tuesday, December 3, 2025 | Noon - 12:45 p.m.

  • Where: Meet on North Campus near the Lurie Carillon (Robert H. Lurie Bell Tower) and the College of Engineering.

Bonus Activity: Carillon Recital

Extend your fresh air break! On the same day, you can attend a free 30-minute Carillon Recital performed by Lon Mitchell at the Lurie Bell Tower, starting at 1:20 p.m.

Please Note

  • This session requires moving or walking outdoors over a distance of approximately a quarter mile.

  • Options will be provided for those who wish to sit or explore at their own pace and ability.

  • Please wear comfortable attire and dress for the weather.

  • In the event of hazardous weather events, you will be notified if the event is canceled.
