You are invited to get away from the screens and into the stars by taking a mid-day break with the Nature Rx team at the Detroit Observatory! Join us from noon - 1 p.m. on Feb. 24, to learn more about the history of the Observatory. You can let the wonder and awe of the stars take over and explore new ways to get outside during cold Michigan winters.
The observatory tour will be led by Austin Edmister, Assistant Director for Astronomy at the Judy & Stanley Frankel Detroit Observatory, starting at noon. At around 12:45 p.m. the group will transition to galaxy painting led by the Arts Initiative. You are welcome to stay for the entire event or join for just a portion. Note, the observatory will start promptly around noon. Please try to arrive on time for this portion of the event.
