Summer schedules may allow for a bit more spaciousness in daily routines, offering an opportunity to slow down and connect to moments of joy and meaning. This summer, discover the basics of mindfulness practice in this introductory class series, designed to help you reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance overall well-being. Through a variety of guided activities, you’ll learn practical skills to help you cultivate more presence and calm in daily life. Whether you are new to mindfulness or an experienced meditator who would like to refresh your practice, you are welcome to join this four-part class.
The course is led by Kelcey Stratton, Ph.D., a trained Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher. She notes that mindfulness provides skills for self-awareness and curiosity. "Mindfulness is a practical skill that helps us navigate the ups and downs of life with more ease," says Dr. Stratton. "By practicing together, you'll learn how to cultivate greater attention and awareness, allowing you to respond to stress with more clarity and kindness toward yourself."
