| Administrative Head of Requesting Department | Obtain budget approval from appropriate authority. Complete Form 36200 (Position Description). Send form to the applicable Academic & Staff HR Services, Health System HR, or regional HR office. |
| Academic & Staff HR Services, Health System HR, or Regional HR office | Analyze and evaluate request and determine appropriate classification. Inform requesting department of determination. Establish position. |
| Procedure B: To change an existing position | |
| Administrative Head of Requesting Department | Obtain budget approval from appropriate authority. Complete Form 36200 (Position Description). Send Form 36200 to the applicable Academic & Staff
HR Services, Health System HR or Regional HR office. |
| Academic & Staff HR Services, Health System HR, or Regional HR office | Analyze and evaluate position and determine appropriate classification. Inform requesting department of approval status. |
| Administrative Head of Requesting Department | Complete Change Worksheets in Wolverine Access and send to the applicable Academic & Staff HR Services, Health System HR, or Regional HR office. |
| Academic & Staff HR Services, Health System HR, or Regional HR office | Review and approve Change Worksheet. Send a copy of the Change Worksheet to HR Records and Information Services for processing. |
| HR Records and Information Services | Initiate notification of change to staff member and department to complete reclassification. |
