Name: Beth Ann Blanchard
Position: Director

Beth Ann has a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University and a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan. She holds a State of Michigan Elementary Provisional Teaching Certificate and an Early Childhood Specialization Endorsement. Beth Ann has been working as a director with the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs since August 1999.


Name: Jasmine Boster
Position: Program Assistant

Jasmine holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University and a B. S. in Human Ecology from the Ohio State University. As well as a State of Ohio Pre-K Teaching Certificate. She has worked with the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs since August 2000 as a teacher, director, and now program assistant.


Name: Cathy Smith
Position: Administrative Assistant

Cathy brings more than two decades worth of administrative support experience to our program. She has worked for the University of Michigan since 2002 and has been a member of the U-M Early Childhood Programs since January 2008. Cathy feels privileged to be the one person that gets to greet everyone every day.


Name: Matthew Althouse
Position: Associate Teacher

Matt is a graduate from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Elementary Education. He has been teaching with the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs since August 2007.


Name: Kelly Coatley
Position: Associate Teacher

Kelly is a graduate from Monroe Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development.  She has over 10 years experience working with young children.  Kelly has been teaching with the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs since 2008.


Name: Kim Hartung
Position: Teacher

Kim is a graduate from Central Michigan University with a BA degree in early childhood. She has four years professional experience working with infants and toddlers. Kim has been teaching with the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs since 2008.


Name: Carol Huey
Position: Teacher

Carol has earned a B. A. in Elementary Education from George Washington University and has extensive graduate credits in early childhood education. Carol has been teaching with the University of Michigan Early Childhood Programs since 1994.


Name: Korinn Kulinski
Position: Teacher

Korinn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, Language Arts, and Science from Eastern Michigan University. She has also earned a State of Michigan Elementary Provisional Teaching Certificate and ZA Early Childhood Endorsement. Korinn has been working with the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs since 2003.


Name: Maggie Marinaro
Position: Teacher

Maggie Marinaro has a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree from Philadelphia College of Art and an AMI Montessori degree for ages two and a half to seven years. She has been a teacher with the University of Michigan Early Childhood Programs since 1993.


Name: Sandra Matusiak
Position: Associate Teacher

Sandra holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design Photography from the University of Michigan. Sandra has been working with the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs as a substitute teacher and now associate teacher since August 2007.


Name: Denise Pelky
Position: Teacher

Denise is a graduate of Rochester College with a BS in Early Childhood Education.  She has also earned graduate credits in early childhood education.  Additionally, she is a member of the International Childbirth Education Association and has a certificate in childbirth education.  Denise has been teaching in the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs since 2001.


Name: Rupam Prasad
Position: Associate Teacher


Rupam is a graduate from Patna University India with an Associate Arts Degree majoring in Child Psychology.  She also has a CDA from St. Thomas University.  Rupam has been teaching in the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs since 2006.


Name: Katie Rosander
Position: Teacher

Katie is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a State of Michigan Elementary Provisional Teaching Certificate and Early Childhood Endorsement. She is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at EMU. Katie has been teaching in the University of Michigan Early Childhood Programs since 2003.


Name: Angelique Rudolph
Position: Teacher

Angelique is a graduate from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Elementary Education with a State of Michigan Elementary Provisional Teaching Certificate and Early Childhood Endorsement. Angelique has been working with the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs as a preschool and now infant teacher since 2001.


Name: Serena Simmons
Position: Teacher

Serena has earned a B.S. in Elementary Education, Math, and Science, from Eastern Michigan University. In addition she holds a State of Michigan Elementary Provisional Teaching Certificate and ZA Early Childhood Endorsement. Serena has been teaching in the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs since May 2003.


Name: Cyndy Steward
Position: Associate Teacher

Cyndy holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Oakland University and a Bachelor’s degree in communications. She has served the University of Michigan Early Childhood programs as a secretary, substitute teacher, and associate teacher starting in December 2005.


Name: Jennifer Westwalewicz
Position: Teacher

Jennifer earned a B. A. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Michigan and her teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University. In addition, she has earned several graduate credits in Early Childhood Education. Jennifer has been teaching with the University of Michigan Early Childhood Programs since September 2003.
