Streamlining the Overwhelming Permissions Process Through SharePoint

Psychology manages over 3000 permissions granted from instructors for students to enroll in courses each term. The Psychology Student Academic Affairs Office has created and implemented tools to manage these permissions effectively and efficiently. From independent study applications submitted by students to permissions granted from graduate student instructors, several parties may use these tools to streamline the process for students, faculty, and staff. This session will demonstrate the capabilities of SharePoint to create positive communication strategies. We will review setting up lists, workflows, and "lazy approval" through the SharePoint system and how you can utilize the strengths of the tool.
