Campus Commitment

Discrimination and Harassment Have No Place at Michigan

Creating and sustaining a welcoming climate requires mutual respect for all. And that means discrimination and harassment are not acceptable at the University of Michigan.

Campus Commitment, a university-wide educational program, provides clear definitions of discrimination and harassment prohibited by University policy, as well as contact information for University resources and ways to report concerns. Its goal is to contribute to an environment of civility and respect in which all members of the University community can work and learn.

You can also contact the Office for Institutional Equity. You can request information about Campus Commitment training and discussion sessions for your unit. You can also use the form to anonymously contact OIE officials regarding issues of discriminations and harassment.

This website describes the policies and resources available to faculty, staff and students on the subject of rights and protections for persons on campus. This website is not intended to create new rights, obligations or procedures apart from those established in applicable University of Michigan policies.
