A Letter from Sonya Jacobs and Kristen Storey

Dear Colleague:

Learning & Professional Development is proud to offer a wide range of high-value, cost-effective training and consulting services to support professional and organizational development at the University of Michigan.

This year, we’re offering over 100 courses, conferences and special events to help individuals improve the skills and abilities needed in their current jobs and to support their future career growth.

We are pleased to provide comprehensive professional development offerings and career coaching services for individuals at all levels and stages of their career.  For managers and supervisors, we have specific offerings that include, among others, the annual U-M Management Conference, the recently expanded Foundations of Supervision series and the Leading Great Teams program.

In 2016, University Human Resources created the department of Organizational Learning, bringing LPD together with programs to support leadership development and our diversity, equity and inclusion initiative. Together, we are working to create a unified strategy for professional and leadership development on the Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Flint campuses and Michigan Medicine.

We hope you will take advantage of these services to develop your talent, improve your skills and maximize your potential at U-M.
