Leading Cultural Transformations: Leading in Crisis Series Fall 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has thrust University of Michigan leaders into a new normal that requires agility and adaptability, resilience and empathy, and critical thinking and creativity. Leaders are now required to find new ways to collectively make decisions in a working environment that may include remote and on-site employees, quickly adapt to or manage change, encourage transformation and thrive in a crisis.

Leading in Change and Crisis, a three month leadership development program aimed at mid- to senior-level leaders, was created to support leaders during these challenging times. Each month, we invite you to learn, put into practice, and reflect on the topics and themes. Themes will include change and transition management, effective communication during times of crisis and change, and resilience and well-being.

Series subscribers will receive a monthly email that includes learning activities related to the theme for the month. Activities could include webinar sessions, articles, podcasts or other resources to support the topic. This is a three month series starting in September 2020, but all content will be available no matter when you join the subscription cohort.

Audience:

Any mid- to senior-level leader who would like to lead more effectively during times of extreme change

Program Notes:

Series emails will be delivered at the beginning of each month, starting in September 2020 and running for three months. Individuals who join after the beginning of the month will receive their first email the week after they sign up. Webinars are being recorded so that they can be viewed later and all series content will be available to subscribers, no matter when they join.

Organizational Learning has also created a Leading Change Digital Toolkit that is intended for U-M leaders. It contains helpful information about change management and tools to help our leaders plan for the future and re-entry into the workplace.
