Gingered Apple Cider Sparkler
Ingredients

6 ounces (3/4 cup) apple cider, preferably fresh

2 teaspoons finely grated ginger root

4 ounces (1/2 cup) sparkling water
Preparation

In a small bowl combine the apple cider and grated ginger, stir well. Strain, using a very fine mesh strainer and pressing down onto the ginger solids, into a pitcher.

Divide mixture between two glasses and top with sparkling water and serve.

Garnish with a thin slice of apple if desired.

Note: This light and very refreshing beverage is ideal to serve as an alternative to alcohol.
