Super Smoothie*

Ingredients

  • 1/2 banana, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1/2 apple, quartered & core removed
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup unsweetened chilled almond milk or low fat milk
  • OPTIONAL: 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
  2. Serving Ideas : A really satisfying breakfast or lunch option! Sprinkle each serving with cinnamon or nutmeg.
  3. NOTES : Vary the ingredients. Try kale, pears, kiwis, zucchini, or pitted cherries!
