
Ingredients
- 12 ounces cranberries
- 1/4 cup cranberry juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 2 Tablespoons crystallized or candied ginger, chopped
- 1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- dash of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes
Preparation
- In a large saucepan combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and allow to simmer until berries pop and mixture thickens slightly.
- Transfer mixture to bowl and refrigerate until well chilled. Cover until ready to serve.
