Spiced Maple-Glazed Nuts

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups whole almonds

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together maple syrup, cinnamon, cayenne pepper and salt. Add nuts and stir to coat evenly. Pour the nut mixture onto the lined baking sheet and spread into a single layer.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes or until mixture is bubbly and nuts are lightly toasted. Allow to cool on sheet. When cooled break the nuts into individual pieces.
  4. Transfer to serving dish or store in an air-tight, sealed container for up to 3 weeks.
