Ingredients
- 2 Anjou pears or your favorite variety
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 pinch sea salt, optional
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon avocado oil
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 425 F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut pears in half lengthwise, core, then slice into 1/2-inch wedges. Place in a bowl and toss with lemon juice to prevent discoloration. Add remaining ingredients, toss well to coat.
- Transfer mixture to prepared baking sheet, making sure all the seasonings are added to the pears. Bake for 10 minutes, stir with spatula and rotate pan and bake an additional 10 minutes until golden brown at the edges and tender when pierced with the tip of a knife. Pan juices will thicken as pears cool. Transfer to serving dishes
