Gingered Apple Cider Sparkler

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces (3/4 cup) apple cider, preferably fresh
  • 2 teaspoons finely grated ginger root
  • 4 ounces (1/2 cup) sparkling water

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl combine the apple cider and grated ginger, stir well. Strain, using a very fine mesh strainer and pressing down onto the ginger solids, into a pitcher.
  2. Divide mixture between two glasses and top with sparkling water and serve.
  3. Garnish with a thin slice of apple if desired.
  4. Note: This light and very refreshing beverage is ideal to serve as an alternative to alcohol.
