Exercise Class Policies

  1. MHealthy reserves the right to cancel any class that attracts fewer than 10 participants. Decisions will be made by the close of the first full week of classes based on the number of registered participants.

  2. All participants must complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) form for each class for which they register, prior to the first day of class. PARQs will either be provided online or given by the instructor.

  3. All participants MUST sign in at the beginning of class. Latecomers should sign in as soon as they arrive and before they join the group.

  4. Athletic shoes must be worn during class. Participants may NOT wear socks alone or go barefoot in any classes, with the exception of Yoga, Yogilates, Pilates, or Tai Chi classes.

  5. Refunds will only be given when requested prior to the start of the 2nd class.

  6. Refunds will be considered after the second class when there is a medical condition, documented by a physician note and there is at least one month of classes the participant will not be able to attend due to the condition. This doctor’s note must be faxed to (734) 764 -0292 within 10 days of the illness/injury.

  7. In the event that a class must be cancelled on the day that it is scheduled, MHealthy will make every effort to contact registered participants via email. Participants can also check the Cancelled Class page for the most up-to-date listing of cancelled classes.

  8. In the event that a participant cannot make it to their MHealthy class, they may receive a Make Up Card from their instructor the next time they attend class. Make Up Cards are good for one (1) use in any 100-level class (see below for full list of 200-level classes). Participants may receive up to two (2) Make Up Cards per session, and Make Up Cards expire at the end of EACH session.

PLEASE NOTE: If the class a participant chooses to use their Make Up Card at is a class that is already full, there is a possibility that the holder of the Make Up Card may not be permitted to join that class.

  9. MHealthy will only cancel classes due to weather conditions if the University of Michigan cancels classes.

  10. Makeup Classes are scheduled only when an instructor has to cancel class. On the occasion that a room becomes unavailable through no fault of MHealthy’s, MHealthy is not responsible for providing refunds or Makeup Classes.

  11. MHealthy Punch Cards are available at any time in the session and are good for 15 visits to any 100 level class (see below for full list of 100-level classes). Punch Cards are good for six (6) months from the date of purchase. Punch Cards are not eligible for refunds.

  12. 100-level classes are open to new participants throughout the session; 200-level classes will close registration at the end of the second week of the session. 100-level classes are all BUT the following;

  • Spinning (Bodies in Balance)

  • Yoga

  • Yogilates

  • Pilates

  • Barre Fusion

  • Stability Ball

  • High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T)

If you are unsure if the class you wish to attend is a 100-level or 200-level class, please refer to the last three digits of the class number - classes with the last three digits starting with ‘1’ are 100-level; all others are considered 200-level.

Example:

  • 352204-03 - 200 level class
  • 351101-07 - 100 level class
