Eat Healthy, Be Active Program

Make healthy eating and physical activity a part of your lifestyle with Eat Healthy, Be Active. If you are ready to learn and understand valuable information to make your lifestyle healthier, this FREE program is for you! 

Eat Healthy, Be Active is an online nutrition and physical activity program offered by Michigan State University Extension and funded through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). 

Who Should Join:

This program is intended for adults living in Michigan who are eligible for supplemental food assistance.

What You’ll Learn:

Eat Healthy, Be Active includes a live instructor who will lead you through activities you can use to become a healthier version of yourself, and reduce the risk of obesity and chronic disease. Participants will learn skills to make healthy eating and regular physical activity a part of their lifestyle.

These valuable classes will take place through Zoom. You will be able to ask questions and have discussions with a live instructor. 

This interactive program will occur weekly for five weeks, for 45-minute sessions. During these five weeks you will discuss the following topics:  

  1. Enjoy Healthy Food Choices that Taste Great
  2. Quick, Healthy Meals and Snacks
  3. Eating Healthy on a Budget
  4. Making Healthy Eating Part of your Lifestyle
  5. Physical Activity is Key to Living Well

Participants that attend 4 of the 5 classes and complete the post survey will receive a $50 gift card for groceries! Please note: Participants can participate once per calendar year in either My Way to Wellness or Eat Healthy Be Active.

Register for Eat Healthy, Be Active, April 12 – May 1. The five-week session will meet from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. via Zoom, Wednesdays, May 15 – June 12.
