Take care of the people who matter most

Five umbrellas along a wall

Who would receive your life insurance benefits and retirement savings if something happened to you?

Life changes quickly. That’s why it’s so important to keep your beneficiary designations up to date, especially if your family or relationship status looks different now than it did a few years ago. Five minutes today can save your loved ones time and worry in the future.

If you can’t remember who your beneficiaries are for TIAA, Fidelity or MetLife, take a moment today to visit their websites to confirm and update your beneficiaries. (Please note: To protect your privacy, current beneficiary information is not available from the SSC Contact Center or the Benefits Office.)

It’s important to remember that your beneficiaries do not transfer between TIAA, Fidelity or MetLife. Each vendor needs a separate, up-to-date beneficiary designation to make sure your wishes are followed.

For life insurance, you can complete the Beneficiary for Group Life Insurance form instead of using the MetLife website, if you prefer.
