Reminder: Use Your New Card for Prescriptions

Magellan Rx is the university’s new pharmacy benefit manager. The transition took place automatically on July 1. The prescription drug plan features, drug coverage, and member copay amounts remain the same. Mail order pharmacy service under NoviXus Pharmacy Services continues.

In June, Magellan Rx mailed new ID cards to the home addresses of all U-M prescription drug plan members. Prior to filling a prescription, the plan member or covered family member will need to show their new drug card to the pharmacist who will verify participation in the U-M prescription drug plan. 

If you have not received your card, you may download and print a temporary card to show to your pharmacist if you need to have a prescription filled.

To help protect your personal information, be sure to destroy and discard your old MedImpact drug plan ID card.
