Interact virtually with our MHealthy chefs and dietitians as they share time saving tips, help you cut costs, and teach you how to create tasty dishes using vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, nuts, fish, low-fat dairy, lean meat and beneficial fats.
April 2021 Cooking Class Series
Registration is open now through April 5 for the April Cooking Class Series. The cost to attend all three classes is $30.
This series will focus on eating a rainbow of colorful fruits and vegetables for optimal:
April 7 Class – Crazy for Carrots
Yummy, sweet and crunchy carrots in all colors (even though we think orange) are the superstars in this class.
April 14 Class – Peas Please:
Learn to make delicious dishes featuring a variety of peas - green peas (the most popular), yellow peas, black-eyed peas, snap peas and snow peas.
April 21 Class – Smile for Citrus and Stay Well-Hydrated:
Like watermelon and cucumbers, citrus fruits help keep you hydrated while packing a powerhouse of vitamins to protect your heart and boost your immune system. Learn to create tasty salads and beverages using your favorite citrus fruits.
These classes support the growing field of culinary medicine, which explores the links between food and health, applying the foundations of nutritional science side-by-side with traditional medical interventions in clinical care.
