Staff members who are not represented by a union are eligible to participate in the election for a non-union staff member to serve on the Police Department Oversight Committee. University Human Resources is coordinating this election.
The six-member panel includes two students, two faculty members (one Senate faculty and one non-Senate faculty), and two staff members (one union and one non-union), who are nominated and elected by their peers for two-year terms.
The committee receives and makes recommendations regarding grievances against any police officer or the U-M Police Department. It reports its findings and recommendations to the Executive Director, Division of Public Safety and Security.

You may nominate yourself or another staff member who is not a member of a union.
Submit your nomination now through Friday, May 22, 2020. You will need to log in with your uniqname and password to access the form.
The election will take place June 8 - 19, 2020. The appointment of the newly elected member to the committee will take place on July 7, 2020.
