Help Your Team Thrive Through Well-being and Inclusion

Whether working remotely or on campus, having a supportive, connected work environment are key ingredients to a successful team. MHealthy is kicking off a virtual version of its popular “Leaders Creating a Culture at Its Best” workshops to help support U-M leaders and influencers who want to help their colleagues thrive and be well, even during times of change.

Any faculty or staff member who hopes to influence their work team and improve workplace well-being can attend. Managers, supervisors, project and committee leaders, informal leaders and influencers are all welcome.

To date, more than 900 leaders from across the university have participated in the program.

Supporting a thriving workplace culture in person or virtually

The workshops are free and provide the tools needed to create an environment – whether in person or virtual – that supports health, well-being, inclusiveness and connection.

Attend this workshop if you would like help with:

  • Developing a strategy for building a culture of well-being that embraces inclusiveness and work-life balance.
  • Becoming familiar with the 8 dimensions of well-being and determine where to focus your efforts to support your work team’s “new normal.”
  • Gaining skills, tools and resources to help you and your team thrive during times of change and uncertainty.

Upcoming workshops and custom sessions

Virtual workshops are held in two 1.5-hour session blocks. Each session will occur on the same weekday, at the same time.

Registration is now open for a workshop starting on November 11, 10 – 11:30 a.m. (and continues November 18 at 10 – 11:30 a.m.). Your attendance at both workshops is required. You will be placed in a cohort group and your participation will impact the group dynamic.

You can also contact Melissa Lagodzinski about creating a custom virtual workshop for your unit. The length can range from 1 – 3 hours and can cover specific health and well-being challenges, such as managing a changing work environment, work-life balance, or staying connected.
