Free Exercise Classes for Beginners - Starts in January!

MHealthy offers two free 30-minute classes for qualified faculty and staff who want to get moving but have not been active in a while. Classes run Jan. 8 – Apr. 22, 2018.

Simple Steps Class:

  • KMS - Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11:30 – 12 p.m.
  • University Hospital, 9th floor Psych. Gym - Mondays & Wednesdays, 7:30 - 8 a.m.
  • UH South Wellness Center – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 – 11:30 a.m.
  • UH South Wellness Center – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12 – 12:30 p.m.

Simple Steps is designed to gradually add physical activity back into your life. Each participant receives a free pre and post fitness consultation. Class meets twice a week.  

Get Fit While You Sit Class:

Location: KMS, Wednesdays, 11 - 11:30 a.m.

Get Fit While You Sit is designed for anyone who has difficulty performing standing exercises or movements. Each class includes seated warm-up, aerobic activity, and resistance band exercises. Also get expert tips and advice covering nutrition and physical activity, as well as a pre and post fitness consultation. Meets once a week.

If you don't qualify for one of these classes, remember, registration is now open for more than 100 winter MHealthy exercise and relaxation classes. Classes are open to all at the university as well as the general public. The winter session runs Jan. 8 – Apr. 22, 2018. View class schedule.
