Free Exercise Class for Beginners; Starts in January!

MHealthy offers a free 30-minute class for qualified faculty and staff who want to get moving and gradually add physical activity back into their life.

“Simple Steps for Health” is designed to gradually add physical activity back into your life. Each participant receives a free pre and post fitness consultation. Class meets twice a week for 15 weeks, from Jan. 7 – Apr. 21, 2019.


  • KMS: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 – 12 p.m.
  • Wolverine Tower: Tuesdays at 7 -7:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 7:30 - 8 a.m.

Participant criteria:

  • Sedentary lifestyle - desk job / no regular exercise for 3 months or more
  • History of minor health issues are okay

If you don't qualify for one of these classes, remember, registration is now open for more than 100 winter MHealthy exercise and relaxation classes. Classes are open to all at the university as well as the general public. The winter session runs Jan. 7 – Apr. 21, 2019. View class schedule.
