5 Receive Voices of the Staff Career Development Grants

Career Development Fund, Voices of the Staff

The Voices Career Development Fund recently awarded five grants in the amount of $1,000 each. Two of the recipients work for Michigan Medicine, and three work on the Ann Arbor campus. The 2018 recipients are:

  • Betsy Howell
  • Jill Castro
  • Regi Freeman
  • Shante Galloway
  • Ingrid Racine

The Voices Career Development Fund provides these grants to support staff in enhancing their professional experience at the university. The grants are for participation in seminars, workshops or apprenticeships as well as for continuing education and/or degree or certification or costs of equipment or supplies related to these pursuits (such as textbooks or computer equipment).

All regular U-M staff members (Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses and Michigan Medicine) in good standing with one or more years of service are eligible to apply. Nominations were reviewed by the Voices of the Staff Program Management Team. Nomination for the 2019 grants will open in June 2019. Information about eligible activities as well as selection criteria and an application form are available on the fund webpage.
