Connecting the Dots Conference 2008
Save the Date

The Work/Life Resource Center’s 3rd Annual Conference, Connecting the Dots, will be held on October 14 at the Michigan League.

This full day conference will address the many facets of life and work:

  • Caring for an Aging Relatives
  • Healthy Living and Fitness
  • Blended Families

Management sessions include:

  • Change Management
  • Flexible Scheduling

The keynote address, How to Thrive and Stay Healthy in a World of Non-Stop Change,
will be delivered by Dr. Al Siebert. Dr. Siebert is an internationally recognized expert in resiliency psychology. He is Director of The Resiliency Center, and author of The Resiliency Advantage. Dr. Siebert is an ex-paratrooper with a PhD in psychology from The University of Michigan.

Registration information will be available in September.

  • childcare certification iconThe Work/Life Resource Center's child care referral specialists are trained and staffed through Child Care Network (CCN), also known as the Washtenaw Regional 4C. Child Care Network is celebrating their recent certification as a Quality Assured Program through the Child Care Aware® Consumer Education Quality Assurance Program.

    The Child Care Aware® Consumer Education Quality Assurance Program is designed to ensure that families across the country have access to consistent, high quality services that support them in making informed child care choices. 


  • 2004 Report on Students with Children
    The "2004 Students with Children Survey Report" provides the University's best estimate to date of the number of students with parenting responsibilities. The report highlights students' current and preferred sources of child care, as well as documenting various demographics of UM student parents including marital status, program of study, and residential location.
