The University of Michigan is committed to making its electronic media accessible the broadest possible audience. The University’s Web Accessibility Working Group supports the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.0. You may use the Accessibility Quick Guide as a checklist to help evaluate your site(s). In cases where third-party vendors have not yet adopted WCAG 2.0, you may wish to evaluate the vendor’s user inteface against the W3C WCAG 1.0 Checklist or the Federal Section 508 checklist, depending on the vendor’s stated compliance criteria.
Complaints regarding the inaccessibility of University Web pages should be directed to Scott Williams (swims at umich.edu), the University’s Web Accessibility Coordinator from the Office for Institutional Equity.
