Case Study: Numbers that don’t add up.
This example is a true account from the TSS files. The identities have been concealed to avoid embarrassing outside vendors:
One department needed two accountants for eight weeks. A specialty (non-prime) vendor quoted an hourly rate of $27.00 per hour for each temporary accountant.
