About HRRIS: Overview of HRRIS Services
Human Resource Records and Information Services has the responsibility to:
- Develop and manage the University’s Human Resource Information System, including:
- Management of Appointment Database, HRMS Employment & Employee Relations system, Address Database, Unemployment Compensation Database
- Manage the development of the M-Pathways HRMS system
- Provide training and consultation to HR system users
- Data Administration, including reviewing and approving requests for system access
- Manage Human Resources Data Access system
- Evaluating vendors and new technologies
- Process and maintain Faculty and Staff records, including:
- Maintenance of the Appointments database for faculty and staff appointments
- Ensuring that the HRRIS information is accurate and in adherence to the Standard Practice Guide and Regents’ By-Laws
- Distribution of Notices of Appointment and Turnaround Documents to appointing departments
- Processing of address changes
- Preparation of Regents’ Communications regarding faculty appointments
- Managing the University’s Unemployment Compensation claims
- Processing special stipends (ex. Form G’s)
- Effort Certification
- Processing subpoenas
- Providing employment verifications
- Maintenance of Faculty and Staff personnel file folders for the Ann Arbor (excluding Medical Campus), Flint and Dearborn campuses
- Provide information and statistical reports to university and external agencies, including:
- Faculty salary surveys and studies
- FTE reports
- Salary Disclosure Lists
- Termination Analysis
- Affirmative Action Reports
- School and College Data Displays
- Consult with and provide assistance to departments & administrative units requesting HR reports, mailing labels
- Manage University HR’s departmental computing resources and technical infrastructure.
