HR-related Forms Updated

With an eye towards improvement, HRRIS has redesigned all forms residing on its website.

Highlights of the updated forms include the following:

  • Consistent formatting to make them easier to use and to simplify form processing
  • New naming convention based on form number
  • Updated source files provides greater options for future enhancements
  • Use of block M/university word mark to meet the latest usage guidelines for the University Seal, which is intended for Regental or ceremonial use

New! BI Career Development Web Tool

Launching this week, the BI Career Web site (http://bi.umich.edu/career) is a new resource for U-M professionals and managers looking to grow expertise in the collection, structuring, analyzing, and leveraging of data in their job. The site offers a variety of features, including:

  • Inventory of professional development and training opportunities
  • Self assessment to evaluate strengths and weaknesses
  • Compare your BI-related skills set to other positions on campus
  • Manager section with best hiring guidelines, interview questions, and ways to develop BI performance in employees

Four new BI market titles will also be added to the classification system on July 1. HR staff who are interested in learning more about these new opportunities are invited to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, July 20 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the Human Resources Development office. Please RSVP to bi.inform@umich.edu.

The progression of BI careers at U-M is the result of a three-year BI Training Initiative.

Low-Cost Weight Management at Rackham for
U-M Faculty and Staff

Join a 12-week MHealthy Weight Management program designed exclusively for U-M employees who want to participate at their worksites. Convenience, affordability, a professional staff and a ‘whole-person’ approach to developing healthy eating and physical activity habits are the cornerstones of this program.

Registration opens soon, for the following program:

Rackham – 2nd Floor, W. Study Hall, South Alcove
Thursdays, 12-12:45 p.m.
Register online July 19 – August 9.
Individual consults start the week of August 16.
Group sessions start August 26.
