BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY

To glaze or repair windows, mirrors, window shades and projection screens.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Install and repair windows, glass doors and mirrors. Cut glass to specifications needed for installation using glass cutter, patterns and sanders. Install glass panes into wood sash with glazier's points and spread and smooth putty or other sealants. Install glass doors in frames and fit hinges. Install and repair leaded glass windows. Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, brushing, sanding or sealing. Operate hand and power tools, including propane torch and air powered chisel. Erect scaffolding and ladders. Fabricate, install and repair window shades. Repair and install movie projection screens. Prepare records and service reports of materials and time expended.
